Maguire/La Berge – Site V

This summer, Anne La Berge and I discovered the Borssele Wind Farm Site V Innovation site, located almost exactly halfway between our respective homes. Our pieces are named after cities, so this year we looked for places in the English Channel to inform a new work.

We have made a video piece about data, concepts of wind turbines, and personal reflections on place, wrapped in the poetics of the Borssele Site V innovation site.

The piece will launch on I K L E C T I K‘s Liminal Space online exhibition platform and YouTube channel 8.45pm 1st October, and run until 30th November.

Composer and artist Phil Maguire presents past projects, and premieres his new longform composition zeemijl.

Recorded during a residency at Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm in 2019, zeemijl is a new longform composition from Phil Maguire. Maguire brings his lightness of touch to analog synthesis: freezing textures in space, allowing the listener to suspend themselves in glacial washes of sound.
